I want to know if Amazon will ship my items to Nigeria? Do they offer direct delivery to Nigeria? Does Amazon ship to Nigeria? There has been many questions people have asked me either through email or by comments on some of my blog posts about how buying things on Amazon really works for Nigerian residents? Well, the answer I can give you is this: Amazon does offer direct shipping to Nigeria and you can take advantage of that offer here. One thing you should however note is that they don't deliver everything listed on their website to Nigeria except for a selected few items. If there are however other things you'd want to buy from Amazon which they only ship to US addresses and not internationally, you can still buy them by first getting a US shipping account.

In the past, it used to be totally impossible for Nigerians to buy things from Amazon and I mean Nigerian residents and not the ones living in the USA. In fact, there was even a time when Nigerians could not even buy items using their bank issued cards. Later on however, Amazon started reducing the restrictions and now Nigerians residents can buy more items from Amazon and get direct delivery to their doorstep in Nigeria.

I've tried shopping on Amazon from Nigerian several times and it works. I've bought items directly and indirectly and they both worked fine. You can buy anything you want from Amazon if you know the way and it doesn't really matter if they will deliver directly to you or not but it's easiest to just buy those items that they can deliver to you after you've made payment because it allows you to save money on shopping and shipping costs which only get higher when using a third party.

I've purchased several things such as clothes, shoes, books, laptops, computer accessories and electronic gadgets from Amazon USA and I've also given many lots of advice on how they can do it too.

To buy things from Amazon from Nigeria, one of the first things you need is a payment card and it can either be Visa or Mastercard, Naira or USA and your bank should have activated it for global use. The second thing you need is a shipping address. You can make use of your Nigerian address when buying things they deliver directly and a US address for things they'd only deliver to US addresses. It is that easy. You'd do the buying yourself and pay with your card and they would sent it to the address you've provided.

International delivery time estimate for an item to get to Nigeria from the USA is at least 3 to 7 working days using courier services like DHL, Fedex or UPS.

Items listed on Amazon are in US dollars and that means when paying with a Naira card, your currency will be exchange at the official rate to the US dollar and you'd even get to see the conversion so that you'd know how much you are paying in Naira - A good reason I love shopping on Amazon.
