JAMB has started selling UTME 2016 application documents

Prospective undergraduates of higher education in Nigeria have been informed through the media that application for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has started and is being sold at JAMB offices and approved banks nationwide.

According to an official of the JAMB, the reason why forms are being sold now is to allow candidates sufficient time to submit their application so as to focus more time on preparing for the exams coming up by February to March in 2016. Unlike in recent times in the past, JAMB UTME application forms were mostly sold around November/December but it seems that they've started something new this time around.

The cost of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application forms for 2016 is N5000 and an additional N500 is to be paid for a textbook which would also be usd for the examinations. The textbook is titled "The Last Days at Forcados High School".

When is the valid registration period? According to JAMB, it will take place between Aug. 31 to Jan. 15, 2016 and the registration website would close by Jan. 19th 2016. Candidates are advises to may hay while the sun shines and not wait for late registration. They are also advised not to make mistakes when filling and submitting their application so as not to deal with making corrections in the future.

The application for the UTME would be done on the internet since it's an online application. Prospective candidates are expected to have the ability to make use of computers and browse the internet.

When will the exam hold? It is expected to take placed between February 29 and March 14 in 2016.

@Nonso, I learnt you can also get the e-registration scratch cards from banks like Zenith, Union, Skye, First and FCMB.
