Many Nigerians love making use of Quickteller for most of their monthly payments such as Cable TV, Electricity bills and airtime recharge but one thing I've noticed that is wrong with Quickteller, a website powered by Interswitch is their inefficiency in making records available to customers.

There is a link on the Quickteller website that is meant to allow users check their payment history and the funny thing is that it mostly has little or no information to display on it. I recently checked my payment history on Quickteller for the current month even though I've made several payments through them but it showed that I had no payment records. I even checked the previous months but alas, no records to show. If it wasn't for the records from my bank account and the SMS alert I received on my phone, it would appear that I didn't make any payment it would be disappointing to rely on Quickteller to keep a copy of pure payments on their website.

Having a fully functional payment history for your customers is something that can encourage them to keep patronizing your brand but if they feel that there are no records on your side, it could make them lose confidence and feel there is fraud involved or something like that.

Many Nigerians now do business using the internet and in most cases, paper records or invoices are not kept or issued and so care must be taken to ensure that both the merchant and customer have access to business transactions they've been involved in.

I have to say that in the past when I used Quickteller, most of my payments showed up in the payment history but nowadays, all I get is blank statements and it appears as if I never existed on their platform except for the fact that I can log in and out. Quickteller needs to fix the records in their payment history for the customer's end so that customers don't feel cheated.
