One of the things I currently enjoy doing right now is watch YouTube videos on my TV and it has been a rewarding experience. I enjoy doing this because there are millions of free videos on YouTube and the only thing you need to access them is just your internet service. Well, thanks be to God that I have an unlimited internet service and I have to say that it's better than pay TV channels in Nigeria.

It's so easy to get bored watching the same program or channels on Pay TV n Nigeria that at times you might want something a bit different. You might want something a bit more specific or something a bit more helpful to your current situation. If you are for instance looking for a tutorial video on how to replace the screen of your laptop, you can find it on YouTube and if you were looking for a video on how to open your car if you lose your key inside it, there is a YouTube video for that too.

Well, I have been using YouTube for a while on my computer but it's a bit more enjoyable to watch it on your HD TV's screen because the display is bigger and you get to relax better without crouching on your desk like you do when using a laptop or desktop computer. YouTube is a website on the internet that gives users the freedome to watch different channels without paying for it.

Wouldn't you like to watch YouTube on your TV? How to do it? Well, youy can follow my example and I'm going to show you how I did it and the tools that I used.

Things I used:
- An unlimited internet service(Smile 4G plan)
- Chromecast dongle
- HD TV
- Electricity
- Mobile device(With casting ability)

How I do it
============
For the first time:
1. I setup Chromecast on my TV by plugging in the device and running the setup from my Chromecast browser extension on Google chrome browser

Subsequently:
2. I power up my internet connection
3. Switch on my TV
4. Switch on my phone's Wifi to detect the Chromecast Wifi and internet Wifi signals
4. Open up a Chromecast friendly app like Youtube to choose a video to play
5. Click on the Chromecast icon at a top corner of the app to begin casting.

So, I'm able to stream and watch YouTube videos I browsed on my phone by simply clicking on the ChromeCast app. It displays the video I've chosen on my YouTube app on the TV as long as there is an active Wireless connection and I've noticed that it pauses the video on the phone while it plays it on the TV.

You need to have a fast internet connection to do this and an unlimited one so that you don't accumulate a lot of data costs. I use Smile 4g unlimited and I've also tried MTN Hynet.
