One of the main reason why blogs are rising in Nigeria is because it has the potential to bring in income from global online advertisers with the biggest being Google.

There is a programme called Google adsense and it allows bloggers and website owners to make money with their sites and this has helped the blogging industry worldwide.
Bloggers are able to make money blogging by participating in such programmes and using the advertising codes on their sites in order to get paid on an agreed basis

I have been blogging for the past four years but did not make any dine from the foreign ad networks so i experimenting with Nigerian ad network. Where is it is more easier to cash your earnings.

@Mazino, you would need to win your competition if you really want to make some real income from blogging. There are now more bloggers than they used to be and the numbers keep growing
