African Countries where Adsense for Mobile is available

After my blog post on Adsense for mobile in Nigeria, I just thought I should do a little research on the number of countries in Africa where Adsense for mobile is available. To my surprise I found out that there are actually only two namely: South Africa and now Nigeria. South Africa had been on the list for while now and with Nigeria coming in a few months, it adds up to two. I was thinking countries like Kenya, Egypt or Morocco would have been added but it was not so. Google adsense for mobile may not probably sell to advertisers in other African countries as much as it would to countries like South Africa and Nigeria and I'm thinking Nigeria would do more due to its exponential growth in ICT and improving rank in mobile phone usage in Africa.

I'm thinking, by the final quarter of 2011, there would be more Local Advertisers coming on to use adwords for mobile. I think the more important thing would be for Google to encourage the growth of mobile content by involving local content developers and website owners and I'm guessing that's why they did the GNigeria day that took place on the first week of May 2011.

Internet access via mobile phones is widely used in African states like Kenya, recently Jun1-Jun7 adsense for mobile content was available in Kenya, hope Google will rollout in the rest African countries

Nice to know it's also in Kenya but I doubt if it will pay as much as ads for content

i atleast expected my country kenya to be in the list but to my suprise isnt there.

This one goes to the ones thinking to get involved into the adsense program, so before applying and having to pass the first 3 month milestone, one could use some free tools like http://domof.com to check what the site potential is and probably re-think the initial plan.
