There are more than a million and one questions being asked by people on the internet and on search engines like Google or Bing but the thing is that those search engines are just engines, they are not better than humans. Search engines may be a bit smart but not really as smart as the homosapien. Websites can't exist of themselves, there is always the need for the human element. Web engines are meant to make the internet easier for people to use and it is what your put in, you get out - GIGO.
Now there has been a lot of talk about how to make money online and I'v talked about quite a lot of them such as blogging, online advertising, writing, photo galleries, selling online, social websites and so on but I just want to talk how to make money answering questions.
People seek for specific information when they go on the web but the thing is that search engines like Google don't always get the best answers or they don't at least give the desired or professional results. You can only search with Google or Wikipedia but you can't rely on the answers.
What if there was a way you could provide people the exact answers they are looking for and at the right time too? What if you had a way to allow people to ask questions, prepay for an answer and then alert them when an answer is in? That would be a reliable way to make money from the internet. It could be a bit like professional consulting but this one is done on the internet. It is like taking a visit to your lawyer without having t leave your home.
Professional consulting websites are on the rise and I just marvelled as I saw a website that offers such services from a pool of experts. It is called Justanswers.com. Now this website allows people to create an account, ask a question and get a professional reply after they had made a deposit in good faith.
Here are some of the features of this Professional consulting website:
- They don't provide answers for free like answerbag.com Yahoo answers
- They accept only registered users
- Users make deposit before getting a reply
- They employ a team of experts like doctors, lawyers, engineers, designers and so on
- They make use of a payment procession platform

Now that is a good business model and if you want to make money online without having to resort to online advertising on your website, you can just get the money from your users since you are providing a service. Now this got me thinking, bloggers and people with high traffic sites can also make money from this without having to use Google adsense or Adbrite. You could just set up a Q and A sub domain on your existing website and allow people to ask you questions in a community. You don't have to answer all the questions, rely on community help. You could do it for free for the first few weeks or so and for categories that is within your field as a blogger, doctor or Accountant. If there is then a high traffic f users to your site, you could then also offer a premium service by the side that allows users to get your professional reply from you and quick too for a fee. You could just post replies to such premium questions within 24 hrs and you're done.
Q and A based websites are a cool way to easily get content for your website and resort to making money from online publishing but where the real money comes is when you are actually getting paid for answering questions as a professional blogger, web designer or some other skill.
I mean think of it, Pay Per Click advertisers may pay you $1 per click but you could get $10 for each professional question that you answer.
