Amazon Kindle is a fantastic digital ebook reading device but it does more than read books. It is also a digital mobile device that you could use to browse web pages and connect with friends and colleagues on the go. Enough about the Amazon Kindle but here is the real money maker: A lot of young writers are making money writing and publishing books for kindle.

Success stories
Now checkout Amanda Hocking, story has it that her digital books bring in a monthly sales of over 100,000 and she keeps 70# of such earnings while Amazon takes the remaining 30%. One interesting thing about selling your books on Kindle is that it could help you reduce the traditional cost of publishing your book while at the same time reaching a virtually unsaturated market of kindle users. Now she sells her book at around $2.99 and even if she gets a $1 for each book, that is a whooping $70,000 or more a month.

Now how do they do it?

Steps to publishing your books on Amazon kindle store
- Write your book first if you've not done so
- Make it available on Word, pdf or html
- Sign up as an Amazon kindle publisher by going to kdp.amazon.com
- Log in and enter your ebook details by clicking on add a new title
- Enter the title, description, language, publication date and other details required
- Upload your ebook cover image as well as the ebook file itself
- Click on save and continue to set the pricing and commission rate
- Click on save and publish when you are done with that page
- Now your submission will be reviewed and after a few hours will be available on the kindle store

Already have a mini book published on Amazon kindle and you can check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/make-money-online-Nigeria-ebook/dp/B004Q9TICC

One problem though is that the target audience also needs to have to access to a kindle to download it so I guess I'll also have to convert it to a book using createspace.com
