How to check your Yahoo mail from your mobile phone

There are a lot of phone users in Nigeria who use GSM networks like MTN, Airtel or Glo for making voice calls. One funny thing is that a lot of people still make use of public cafes just to check emails. The thing most people don't know yet is that with your gsm phone, you can still check your email without using a cybercafe.
How do you check your Yahoo email account for any new mail with just your mobile phone?
Well, here is how to do it:
- Make sure your phone is already configured for mobile browing. If it is not, visit your customer service or get those mobile phone gurus to configure gprs for your phone
- Ensure that you have at least N50 credit on your phone
- Open your phone browser and go to m.yahoo.com
- Click on Mail
- Log in with your original username and password
- Select any mail you want to read in your inbox
- Log out when you are through

It is so easy and the good thing about mobile browsing and checking your Yahoo mail is that you can do it from anywhere without being inconvenienced or risk hackers who mostly prowl public places like cafes. Besides, it would be cheaper and faster because the mobile Yahoo mail site loads faster than the one for desktop.
If you are going to visit a cafe or subscribe to a broadband service just for checking your Yahoo mail, it may not be the best idea unless you are doing it for business, downloading a lot of attachments or interested in browsing other sites.
So just remember, when browsing with your phone, it is much easier to visit m.yahoo.com than visiting www.mail.yahoo.com on your desktop and it would only cost about NGN15($0.10) rather than the N150($1) you would pay at the public cafe.
