Although I have experimented with Wordpress and Blogger platforms, I have not really taken to liking them for several reasons. I do run 2 wordpress blogs with the Twenty eleven theme but not on Multidox yet since I would prefer it to remain a fast, free, perl based site.

Now, since I am not mostly running sites targeting traffic in the USA or UK, here are several reasons why I don't prefer using Wodpress or Blogger sites

- It is not fast enough for internet users in developing countries
- It uses a lot of disk space especially as your site grows
- Needs plugins to get more efficient
- They look the same

Now, here are certain things I have noticed that one can do that can help make a wordpress or blogger site faster such as reducing the amount of plugins, external resources and even adverts. Moving to a more reliable and efficient web host as well as mobilizing your blog can also make your blog faster.
