Perhaps you might have heard about this new device called fuelless generator and if you live in an African country like Nigeria where the power sector is really inefficient, you would know that diesel eating power generators are commonplace at banks, shopping malls, stores, hotels, institutions, small businesses and private homes. Businesses that deal in generators and fuel supply are making a killing from it because it is probably the online way Nigerians can for now get reliable power supply as all hope seems lost for the National power supplier.

If it were possible to have a kind of generator that doesn't run on fuel or even uses less fuel, a lot of Nigerian would be willing to buy and as long as it provides reliable electrical power. But what is a fuelless generator and how does it work really?

Well, I've been doing a bit of research on it and watching some videos on Youtube about it. It seems that a lot of work is still needed to be done on it and it seems to have some inefficiences fixed before being mass produced. As of now, the people promoting the usage of fuelless generators tend to give the publish the extent of work they've done developing it and focus on teaching people how to easily setup one for home use. Of course there are other ways to generate power rather than just generators or the National grid by using solar cells, wind power and inverters which are also a hot product in Nigeria but it seems this fuelless generator would really beat down costs if used rightly.

So how does it work? Based on a bit of research I've done, the idea is
- It requires an initial current to run
- It doesn't use any fuel
- It has no externally moving parts
- It generates a higher current
- it is not yet is mass production
