As far as I know about the Nigerian web industry, there are still lots of untapped niches, lots on needed web content and lots of potential website types that can all be monetized to make money from Google adsense.

As I've written earlier in one of my posts, Google adsense is the most reliable and easiest ways to make money online in Nigeria and it is helping in no small way to grow the number of Nigerian content based websites. We are barely growing from web site types like news portals, blogs and forums and opportunities still remain in other areas like online directories, QnA and classifieds.

Google is getting involved with Nigerian content
Perhaps, they must have had a huge success with adwords from advertisers in Nigeria and it seems they want to also help in getting more Nigerian content n the web. So Google itself is trying to gain more content into Nigeria's web industry by being a major publisher too in order to provide advertising customers with a larger publishing network. Google is involved in sites like Baraza, Trader and Hotel finder apart from just their Google Nigeria search engine.

It seems that most Nigerians have not really taken full advantage of the potential income and this is probably due to the low knowledge on web technology and how the internet works. Most Nigerians are still internet users as they take more from the internet that what they give to it. So if you are a web developer or publisher, you have a greater opportunity to make money from Google adsense and I'm not just talking.

If you really want to make real money with Google adsense, what really matters is that:
- You have a website with useful Nigerian content
- You have lots of content and traffic (10,000 posts/pages won't be too much)
- You are signed up for Google adsense

Why Google adsense publishing will still rock in 2012

How much can one make from Google adsense in Nigeria?
It may be a little as you get started but as you publish more content and get more visitors, you would start earning more. There are publishers in Nigeria making over $3000 monthly and some are still trying to reach the minimum $100 monthly. On the average, I think people are making at least $500 per month and the thing with this kind of income is that it grows as your website gains more prominence and usefulness to visitors.
