In Life, one of the easiest ways of making and keeping friends is by simply telling them what they want to hear. In the internet and as a blogger, this is also true if you want to improve your incoming site traffic.

People are eager for information or words that they need or want. Something always attracts a website visitor to a website in the first place and keeps him there for a long time. As long as he gets what he wants or needs, he would remain a loyal blog reader.

As a blogger, you might at times get torn between keeping your blog as a personal blog and making it publicly appealing. There may be certain times you just want to write for your satisfaction rather than writing for others but the truth is that if you want to have a huge following and traffic, you really need to start writing for people rather than your personal interests.

People would constantly seek for information that can make life better for them. They may want to hear something that already confirms what they know, doesn't condemn them or simply tells them to truth in a kind way. People are generally repelled by abusive blogs or websites that don't have their interests at heart.

Let's say you run a tech blog and your target readers are basically techies, chances are that you could be missing out on a much larger audience of tech newbies who just want a simple solution to their problems but are unable to identify with your blog due to your excessive use of complex technical terms. So you may need to tone down a bit on your choice of words in other to carry such people along.

Telling people what they need to know is a sure way of running a people friendly site and if they get satisfied, chances are that they would keep coming back for more.
