In this post, I will show you how you can connect your mobile phone for mobile internet browsing on the Etisalat Nigeria network.
I have also included a Youtube video to show you how to do it.
The default settings for browsing on your mobile phone with Etisalat are as follows:
Etisalat Wap settings
============
Account name: Etisalat wap
Home page: mobile.etisalat.com.ng
APN: etisalat
IP: 010.071.170.005
Port: 8080
username = (blank)
Password = (blank)
Manual configuration on a Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duo
=========
- Select Menu > Settings > Wireless and networks > Mobile networks
- Check the "Use packet data" option
- Select Access Point Names
- Enter Etisalat wap
- APN: etisalat
- Proxy: 010.071.170.005
- Port: 8080
- Home page: mobile.etisalat.com.ng
- APN type: Internet+MMS
Now you may switch off your phone and on it again. Afterwards you should be able to browse the web.
