There has been a lot of noise about buying cheap laptops online in Nigeria from Chinese websites such as Aliexpress.com. Before you decide on buying such a laptop, you should ask yourself if it is really worth it.

Such cheap under $100 laptops do not offer the same quality of service as a $200 to $400 laptop. It is probably meant for kids or people who don't intend using the device for the long term, cause in the long term, it would only show you it's real worth.

Why those cheap $100 Chinese laptops suck
Still want to know why you shouldn't buy such a laptop? Here are my reasons:

- It is not really a laptop. It just a netbook
- It doesn't come with updated Windows software and can't be upgraded
- It has low internal storage. Only about 4GB
- It doesn't have a wide screen or keyboard
- It is not designed for computing but basically for surfing the net
- It doesn't have a lasting battery or replacement parts
- It doesn't have much technical support in Nigeria
- It just can't replace the need for a computer

Still want to buy a cheap under $100(N14,000) laptop
Well you can buy it online from Aliexpress.com and expect it to be delivered within a few weeks

- Sign up with Aliexpress.com
- Go to Categories > Netbooks
- You will see a lot of cheap devices under $100
- Select the notebook you want
- Make payment with your debit card
- Wait for delivery
- After delivery, confirm delivery do that seller gets paid

Other options to buying cheap laptops in Nigeria
Rather than buying a brand new low quality netbook from China that doesn't fucntion fully as a computer, you can as well get a fully functional laptop for cheap from the local computer market and you can get a lot of them for as low as N25,000 for used ones and about N50,000 for brand new ones.
