One of the reasons why I love using MTN's Hynet service is because of the unlimited data service which allows one to use the internet to do unlimited downloads even if it's at slow speed.

I personally prefer a 24 hr internet service that doesn't charge me for data used but based on a monthly plan.

I'm used to subscribing to the 24 hr plan at a speed of 128kbps for N9500 which serves for a month but lately, MTN has deleted that option and replaced the pacakges in the All day plan.

I wouldn't have minded going for the N10,000 a month plan but this is also a 7 day plan when I would have preferred a 30 day plan at the same price. The closest 30 day plan goes for 35,000 a month at a speed of 1mps but that doesn't look justified to me to pay for an internet service.

I would have preferred sticking to my old plan even if it's at a slow speedn and still pay a justifiable amount and this has made me rethink if there are really any benefits of using MTN's hynet service except you just want a faster internet service for a short while.

What other options do I have? Glo doesn't offer unlimited data yet. I guess I may have to revisit my good old starcomms Izap that goes for N7000 per month or look into Visafone's 1 month plan that also goes for N16,000.

Currently I'm switching between MTN's data cap service on Hynet and Starcomms izap business plan. The Hynet data caps is really much faster at 2MBps but easily gets exhausted but I could use it any time of the day. Starcomms still makes business sense and I may have to switch back to it entirely except that the speed at most times is not that reliable.

MTN needs to offer wider options to people who would have loved to stick to the old plan without having to pay more.
