I recently decided to add funds to my Payoneer mastercard just to test how the system works and this is a post on how I did it.

Although, there are several other ways to load funds into your Payoneer mastercard and be able to withdraw it later on using an ATM, one of the independent ways through which you can do so is by making us of your own payment card and as I have already experienced it, you can make use of a naira visa card.

A naira visa card is simply your bank issued card that is tied to a naira card that allows you to make withdrawals from an ATM as well as make internet payments by making use of your Internet PIN(i-PIN)

I got my naira visa debit card from Union bank being one of the banks I deal with and being a Visa card, I was able to generate my i-PIN from an ATM machine.

Once I generated my i-PIN, I've been able to use my naira visa debit card to make online payments, even in US dollars and it has worked several times.

One of the payments I made recently with the naira visa card is making payments out to my Payoneer mastercard. The mastercard was sent to me after I applied from the USA and it's a global payment card that allows one to receive payments internationally and be able to make withdrawals in local currencies from Mastercard supported ATMs.

So, when the Payoneer card arrived, it didn't have any funds in it and I would be able to receive payments from affilaite sites like Amazon and others.

While I'm still waiting for payments from Amazon, one of the things I really wanted to use my Payoneer mastercard to do was to make use of their US payment service to set up a US bank account that can be used to verify Paypal. I'm still yet to see if it works with Paypal yet but before then I still have to add some funds to it and I decided to add like $30.

How I did it
=========
- Got my i-PIN for the naira Visa card using an ATM
- Logged into my Payoneer mastercard account
- Selected to load funds card from tools link
- Selected my Payoneer mastercard and added the card number
- Entered the amount - $32
- Chose to the card holder pay for the transfer fee
- Clicked on continue
- Chose the reason for loading
- Clicked on continue
- Entered my naira visa card details e.g. Name, address, card number, cvv, expiry date and others
- Clicked on Pay now button
- Entered other personal details and identifaction number
- Enterd my i-PIN
- Confirmed the payment
- I received an sms alert that my bank account has been debited on behalf of Payoneer while the transaction sailed through
- It would now wait for approval from Payoneer which takes about 2 days.

In total I was debited the sum of N5340 for the $32 I paid into my Payoneer mastercard using my naira visa debit card. It seems that the bank used an exchange rate of $167 to a dollar since that was the debit to my account.

I also received an email from Payoneer that my payment is being processed.
