Google Adsense earnings vs Page views in Nigeria

Google adsense is one of the top ways website publishers make money in Nigeria and one of the ways one can estimate how much a website can actually make from the program is by identifying how unique page views it already gets.

Yes, the amount of unique page views a website receives can be directly related to the amount of money a publisher makes.

So, how many page views does your website currently have? How much do you think it can make from Google adsense?

In Nigeria, the local currency is the Naira and if you ask me, there is a direct relationship between one's adsense income in the Naira and one's adsense page views.

I do run a couple of niche websites that get traffic from search engines and there seems to be a direct relationship between those unique page views and the naira income from adsense.

If you've got website that gets about 1000 unique page views per month, chances are that it can make at least N1000 using ads for content. That's the estimate I'm able to get based on personal experience. Some sites or publishers could earn higher.

However those websites actually get more traffic too from mobile visitors and this also translates to higher page views on mobile but has lower earnings from ads for mobile.

Also, it seems that adsense for content for now pays better than ads for mobile but it's good to have the two since ads for content would have otherwise not even displayed on those mobile browsers being javascript items. Besides, mobile visitors make up to 3/4 of traffic on my niche websites but still earn less than ads for content.

So, if you ask me to compare adsense earnings in Nigeria and relate them to page views, I'd say it translates to about NGN1 per unique page view on the average and this means that for every unique page view a website gets in Nigeria, it is likely to earn at least NGN1.

I think this is the least amount someone should be able to make from adsense depending on his page views but it could be more but it may also vary with keywords and country of visitors.
