I've done a first review of MTN's Hynet service and this is an broadband internet service that works with a CPE modem that offers access via WiFi as well as a LAN cable. The benefits of Hynet are numerous and one of them is the ability for multiple users to connect to the network by means of the WiFi hotspot it creates.

As long as a user has the password for your MTN Hynet Wifi hotspot, he would be able to connect to your network and use the fast blazing internet service on their device.

Well, as I said, I've done a review about it once but this is a second review since a lot of things have changed since then.

New Changes to MTN Hynet
==============
1. Increased prices: Yes, the internet packages on Hynet have been increased since my last review. This is true for all the plans and I guess its probably because they now have more customers than previously when they were giving it at a discount.

2. Two Subscription plans: As at the time of writing this post, Hynet now comes with just two subscription plans which are the monthly plans and the time based plans. As at my first review, they had up to 4 plans which are shown in the image on my last post

Monthly Subscription plans
=============================
The monthly plan can either be with a data cap or unlimited data. In the past, I only spend about N9500 for a basic monthly plan with no data caps but now, the unlimited data caps for a monthly plans goes for at least N35,000 but it much faster than the N9500 plan I used to pay. Anyway, I've switched to a data cap plan due to the increased cost.
The least price you can now pay for a data cap on a monthly plan is about N4000 for 2GB but it's really fast at 2MB.

The monthly plan allows you internet access for 24 hrs in the day but can either come with limited or unlimited data. If you would rather pay a flat fee for unlimited data on the monthly plan, this costs about N35,000 to N52,7000 a month for the 1mbps or 2mbps speed.

Time based plans
================
The time based plans allow subscribers to access the internet with unlimited data caps for specific times of the day. As at now, this is mostly tied to the the evening from 4pm to 6pm and for 24 hrs during weekends. This is probably for people who don't want a 24 hr internet service on a daily basis and don't need it for business. The basic price now for the time based plan starts from N22,000 a month.

Which Hynet plan is best for you?
=========================
I think it depends on how often you would like to use the internet and at fast speed. Personally, I now use a couple of other internet services apart from just Hynet due to their increased prices. I still subscribe for the basic data based plans for about N4000 in month.
