If you've got a Naira visa card issued to you by your bank and want to be able to use it to make payments are global websites like Amazon, one of the things you need to do is to add the card to your account first and then you'll be able to use it for making payments from your Naira account as long as it has already being activated for internet use.

Here is how you can do this
===================
- Go to the Amazon website
- Log into your account
- Go to Account > Payments > Add a credit or debit card
- Enter the 16 digit card number of your visa card
- Enter the card name as it appears on your card
- Select the correct expiration date
- Use your Nigerian billing address as the billing address. It should be the same address you used when getting the card and probably would be the same with your bank account details

Now you can be able to make payments at Amazon by select the card when checking out after making your orders.

How much does it really cost to shop at US Dollar based sites like Amazon? Well, it depends on the exchange rate used and any other fees charged by your bank. Perhaps, you can try buying an Amazon gift card and see how much you will be debited.

When using your card for the first time in making payment, just tell Amazon the currency of your card, i.e. Nigerian currency so that you'd get a better billing statement by knowing how much they actually charged in Naira.
