I checked my email today and got a notification telling me that Hubpages just sent me a Paypal payment of $75. In case you don't know, you should know that Hubpages is one of the ways I make money online and they have an earnings program that allows writers to get paid by Paypal.

This is the 4th time Hubpages has paid me and they normally make payments on the 28th of every month following the month a member has earned at least $50. If you ask me, I think I have a great future with them. For other times in the past, I've mostly used my Paypal funds to shop at eBay and also make online payments for things like web hosting and domain name. Now, however, I've decided to simply withdraw my Paypal earnings straight to the US bank which Payoneer has made possible for me.

Well, after receiving the payment notification, I proceeded to my Paypal account just to confirm it and then choose whether to withdraw it to a US bank or shop at eBay. Yes, you can now shop at eBay or operate a US bank account from Nigeria, thanks to Payoneer.

I decided to do something new and which Payoneer allows me to do which is withdraw to a US BANK. Since I already had a US payment service activated and have linked the bank details to my Paypal account, I clicked on the withdraw to bank option. With Paypal, you actually have 3 withdrawal options which are withdraw to bank, request a US cheque and Paypal Debit Mastercard.

Mind you, when accessing your Paypal account from Nigeria, you need to ensure that you are using a US ip address and for that, I already had an active US VPN subscription service. This is necessary just to ensure that your Paypal account doesn't get limited when using a Nigerian ip address.

After choosing the bank withdrawal option, I was told that the process normally takes about 2 to 3 days before it would reflect in my account. I then filled in the form, indicating how much I wanted to withdraw and so on. My monthly limit was $500 but I just wanted to withdraw $70 just to see how the process works. It also showed that the US bank account I added, courtesy of Payoneer US payment service, was already confirmed.

On reviewing the details, I noticed that my bank account name was meant to exactly match the name on my Paypal account. In fact, that was one of the reasons why I've not been using the bank withdrawal option to take money out of my account instead I prefer using it for shopping on eBay. I used my Igbo name in my Payoneer account but my English name in my paypal account but I might be able to rectify that later on through Payoneer since they have a copy of my original id and can confirm that the name on Paypal is still my name.

Anyway, the worst that would happen is that the money will be returned to my Paypal account if the transfer did not go through.

So I entered $70 and clicked on continue. I reviewed the bank transfer information and clicked on submit.

I got a reply from Paypal saying "We are transferring your money". It would be sent within 3 to 4 days.

I'm hoping this would work and I'll update you on how it all went down. Hoping to be able to use my Payoneer Mastercard for the first time in Nigeria using a local ATM.

The only international Mastercard I've used to withdraw my USD earnings in Nigeria is the one given to me by AdDynamo. If Payoneer works and I believe it will, I stand to earn more from Paypal and get access to my funds(iWriter, Amazon, Bluehost, Bidvertiser, Hubpages) thanks to Payoneer and my VPN service.
