Forget about Konga's affiliate program for now becaue there is a new way to make money from Konga and this is by simply selling online.

Konga now has a new platform that allows Nigerians to sell stuff online and this one is called Konga Marketplace.

A lot of people in Nigeria already know Konga as a popular destination for shopping since it's one of the top leading online shopping websites in Nigeria. Recently, however, Konga is moving up a bit higher than just being a shoping destination. Now, users can also sell their items on Konga rather than just buying stuff.

Konga has a new platform they call Konga Marketplace and this is basically an online market platform that allows Nigerians to buy and sell products or basically trade with each other with Konga acting as the third party that makes it possible.

With Konga marketplace, users can now sell directly to others users by placing their offers and then be able to make money from their products.

When I visit popular shopping websites likes Amazon, one would agree that Amazon doesn't really sell all those items directly themselves but they do have a lot of other sellers who are basically Amazon users that make use of their online shop to sell to other users. Infact, if sites like Amazon had to provide every product they sell on their website, they may not be able to warehouse all of them. So it seems giving opportunity to users to also do their selling on their platform in a way, helps sites like Amazon and Konga.

I think this is basically a good innovation from Konga as there are actually not many websites offering this service in Nigeria. We need more of these user oriented shopping destinations in Nigeria where people will be able to buy and sell from each other. Some of the benefits of Konga's marketplace are that prices will be much lower due to competition, it would increase inventory of products as well as allow both Konga and Sellers to make more money.

Another good thing is that unlike Amazon which actually charges sellers to setup an online shop, Konga shops are free for now and you should take advantage of it if you are in the business of selling stuff.

When it comes to the competition, Konga already has existing competitors in this niche as sites like OLX, Tradestable and Kaymu are also involved in letting Nigerians sell on the internet.

Konga is currently accepting requests for registration for their online shops which are free and you can pre-order for it now before it is fully launched.
