I have talked about how people can jump start their ability to make money online just by blogging, even in Nigeria. Then later blogged about the importance of getting and knowing your audience. So what do I write about next?

Writing For your Audience
Your Audience consists mainly of people seeking for information about your blog's niche and this number may probably be coming from search engines assuming you are not a celebrity or popular blogger yet. You blog readers may also consist of a smaller number of competitors and fellow bloggers who just want to share in the discussion and see how you solved a problem.
Now that you know your audience and want to write to satisfy them, the best thing is that you answer as many questions being raised in the comments and even try to write new topics on such popular questions. For instance, if you have a popular blog post on "Paypal in Nigeria" and some of the questions raised include "Verifying a Paypal account in Nigeria", then it's best you just write a new blog post just to satisfy your audience.
There may be times when you just don't know the answer to some popular questions but you feel the need to just tell them something. If you can't do research of just don't know what to say then just give your opinion on the matter. At times just giving a honest opinion ma be the best thing and may even bring comments from more knowledgeable visitors that could very well answer the nagging question.
To Monetize(and how) or Not To Monetize
Writing for your audience can be challenging and the same goes for maintaining your blog's niche. Perhaps you just want to write out of the box on an issue that just doesn't relate to you blog but how do you harmonise it to your blog? It is similar to monetizing your blog. The kind of blog you have also determines if your visitors would prefer you make money from it or not. While for some blogs, slapping third party ads could irritate readers while it may work for other blogs. You should determine if your site will do well if you use Ads like Google adsense or sell some blog related items or just accept donations. The thing is that every blog really needs some form of income stream although there are others that just want to promote a company's corporate image rather than just sell stuff. Some blogs may just be for telling people how to solve billing or sales issues or just provide news on latest events in a company and not really meant to make money directly. So if you are running that kind of blog, there would really be no need to make money directly from advertising although you could be losing potential traffic to online sales.
However if you are thinking of making money directly from your blog, you can do so by either selling your stuff or just using Google Adsense.
